Postdoctoral and Clinical Research Fellows Program at UBC

A postdoctoral fellow (PDF) is a junior researcher having received a PhD (normally) less than 3 years prior, or MD or DDS degrees less than 10 years prior. All PDFs at UBC are appointed through Faculty Relations, whether or not they are receiving a salary through UBC. Appointments are limited to a 3 year term, however, the term may be extended under extenuating circumstances.

Postdoctoral Fellows are an integral part of the research enterprise as they play key roles on many research teams. Having a postdoctoral position is also a critical step for the careers of our future scientists and research scholars.

For detailed information about the Postdoctoral Program at UBC, please visit the Faculty Relations website. Supplementary information may be found on this section on the Orientation page.
