UBC is committed to enhancing its international profile and building connections for faculty and students with leading institutions around the world to support increased international learning opportunities and research excellence.

The Office of the Vice President Research & International (VPRI) plays a strategic role in advancing and supporting international research collaborations that present unique opportunities and offer potential benefits because of the vital and integral nature of the collaboration.

VPRI staff provide consultation and support to faculty applying for funding for international research activities. For detailed information or to request support, please contact Jacqueline Smit, Senior Officer of International Research Initiatives at (604) 822-8136.

The pages in this section (see menu at right) are updated regularly with calls for proposals and information on internal and external sources of funding for international projects and research collaboration.

Faculty members are also encouraged to visit the Funding for Incoming International Graduate Students page for information about hosting foreign graduate students, researchers and post-doctoral fellows to conduct research at UBC.
