FUNDING FIGURES & REPORTS

UBC research is supported by a wide variety of funding agencies, foundations and private organizations in the government, non-profit and private sectors.

As a public university, UBC receives considerable support from the Government of Canada and the Government of British Columbia. Much of this funding is awarded through competitive, peer reviewed grant competitions.

The pages in this section describe the amount and sources of funding from all sectors in each fiscal year (April 1 - March 31). These statistics are provided by the Office of Research Services and the University-Industry Liaison Office.
